The 50th Anniversary of Factory Fire Brigade in Puławy
The celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of Factory Fire Brigade were held in Frederic Chopin Square in Puławy on May 17th, 2014. Awarding honorary distinctions to FFB staff was the key point of the Jubilee. Firemen from Puławy received honorary badges and a new banner.
A new banner for FFB
The 50th anniversary of the establishment of Factory Fire Brigade and the regional Fireman’s Day were celebrated together. The climax of Saturday’s festival came when the firemen from FFB received a new banner. Marian Rybak, the Chairman of the Board of Grupa Azoty “PUŁAWY”, handed the flag to Wacław Kozioł, the Commander of FFB. The gift was a sign of gratitude to the whole staff of Factory Fire Brigade for their many years of work in Puławy county area and the care for the safety of Our Works.
Distinctions for the firemen
Fire Brigade members and all other staff involved in the activity of FFB received honorary badges in recognition of their work. The representatives of local government and Our Works stressed the fact that the professional attitude and the efficiency of Factory Fire Brigade ensure the safety of Grupa Azoty “PUŁAWY” staff as well as the whole region.
A momentous event for the region
The 50th Anniversary of Factory Fire Brigade was an important occasion for the local community. Many inhabitants of Puławy region turned out for the celebrations. The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Treasury Włodzimierz Karpiński, the Chairman of the Board of Grupa Azoty Paweł Jarczewski, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty “PUŁAWY” Cezary Możeński, Puławy County Foreman Witold Popiołek, Members of the Polish Parliament coming from the region, as well as State Fire Brigades firemen from the area, both in service and retired.
