Responsible care – taking care of the environment

| About Us |

“Responsible Care” Program constitutes a formal obligation for the company to work continuously on developing all aspects of activity connected with environmental protection, process safety and healthcare.

Ecology Forum of the Chemical Sector

The Ecology Forum of the Chemical Sector held on September 30th and October 1st, 2015 in Toruń is the leading event organized in “Responsible Care” Program. Representatives of our Works were certain to attend the Conference.

At this year’s Ecology Forum, Katarzyna Stasiak, the Chairman of Support Division in Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY, spoke to the participants about the benefits of joining the Program. For businesses today, environmental issues are a responsibility perceived in the context of sustainable development. The implementation of the Program helped channel our business activity towards creating added value for the community and the economy.

Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY is an environmentally-friendly company

Our business model involves taking care of the natural environment, and we opted for sustainable approach to development. While implementing “Responsible Care” program, we channeled our activities to creating the so-called “added value”, namely benefits for the local community and economy. We have established new, positive relations with the local authorities and have made it possible to build long-term relations with pupils, teachers and their families.

Ecological activity

Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY has been participating in pro-environmental and educational campaigns organized by “Responsible Care” Framework Program Office for years, both by helping in organization and providing advice, as well as by financing the events. “A Tree for a Bottle” is one of the most well-known campaigns which is widely recognized. In return for plastic packaging which is recycled, the participants are given seedlings of trees and shrubs.

“Ecological Academy of Skills” is another campaign worth mentioning. Its aim is to educate teachers from local schools about the legal regulations and solutions which are adopted by the industry and relevant to environment protection.

Lastly, “Catch a Hare” is a photography competition targeted at the staff of companies which participate in “Responsible Care” Program. Its role is to make the workers of chemical companies more aware of the beauty of the natural world.
