“PUŁAWY” supporting Wisła Sports Club

| CSR |

In early September Grupa Azoty “PUŁAWY” prolonged the sponsorship agreement with “Wisła” Puławy Sports Club. The cooperation between both entities – taking in various forms – has continued for over half a century.

Supporting local sport clubs is a confirmation of corporate social responsibility of “PUŁAWY”, a company well aware of its role in the development of the local community. Cooperation in the form of sponsorship has made it possible for the club to function, and has fostered physical education and fitness activity in Puławy, in particular among the youth. Ar the same time “PUŁAWY” boosts its brand, and the company image benefits from successes of local sportspeople. The brand has become more publicized and popular thanks to the bond with the Club and its players. In accordance with the sponsorship policy of the company, 75% of this budget goes to sport clubs from Puławy, with a particular focus on professional teams.

One representative of “Wisła” club is swimmer Konrad Czerniak, an Olympic Games participant and twice a medal-winner at World Championships in swimming. “Wisła” footballers will strive to be promoted to the First League this season. If we take into consideration their 4th place in 2012/2013 season ranking, optimism may be justified. Female weightlifters representing Puławy are the elite of the sport in Poland. Athletics section has also included medal-winners at international competitions. Most recent such achievement was Malwina Kopron’s Vice Championship of the World in hammer throw at 2011 Junior Championships in France.
