Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY received Regional Export Eagle title
“Regional Eagles of Export in Lubelskie Voivodeship” Conference was organized on October 9th, 2015 in IBB Grand Hotel Lublinianka in Lublin. It had been prepared by “Rzeczpospolita” daily and enjoyed honorary patronage of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Marshal Office of Lubelskie Voivodeship, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, and the Regional Business Chamber in Lublin.

Presenting the laureates of “Regional Eagles of Export in Lubelskie Voivodeship” competition was the highlight of this year’s conference. The prizes were awarded in five categories: the best exporter in the region, the most dynamic exporter, an export product, a personality of export and an export debut. The largest enterprises in Lublin area took some of the awards, while other distinctions went to family firms and initiatives debuting on exportation market. Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” S.A. was one of the companies which received Exporter of the Region title, an award in the main category, while other laureates include Ursus S.A., Grupa Kapitałowa Protektor, Mostostal Puławy S.A. and Black Red White.
Export and building competitive advantage
Exportation of goods and services constitutes one of the crucial elements of the economy, and the engine of growth of Polish enterprises. The potential of international trade is immense. Seeking new markets by raising competitiveness impacts the companies’ development, making them able to distribute products not only on local market, but also on a global scale.
The Marshal of Lubelskie voivodeship Sławomir Sosnowski stressed that “from 2007 to 2013 Lubelskie voivodeship raised its production value by 40 %, and it is essential to be on the lookout for new markets. We need to seek partners who are going to take our products and use their distribution channels to market them. At the same time, we are establishing our own brand for the small and medium entrepreneurs who would like to sell high quality products using one logo. This market is difficult at the moment, it is difficult to make a breakthrough, and it is necessary to build the strength and might of exportation from Lubelskie voivodeship(…)”.
