Expo Milano 2015 – the international agricultural exhibition

World Expo 2015 event debuted in Milan in May. The exhibition has been accompanied by numerous meetings which concern current issues of food security in the world and other similar topics.

Combating hunger and climate change

The meeting was organized by the Italian Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. The event provided the delegates of many countries with an opportunity to speak about the actions which are essential for combating hunger and climate change. The representatives of governments, international institutions and UN leaders announced the topic was regarded as important, especially in view of the rising global population and geopolitical changes on the planet.

Topics discussed at the meeting included relations between agriculture and economic growth, cultural conditioning of agricultural production and the care of food security. 360 delegates representing over 100 nations from all over the world took part in the meeting at World Expo 2015 in Milan.
