Domestic chemical companies adjust to changes in the countryside
The mosaic of Polish agriculture poses a challenge for those wishing to suit the needs of lesser farms as well as huge agricultural enterprises. Such client base requires full involvement. Particular regions of Poland very greatly with regard to the quantity of fertilizers consumed, and even when it comes to farming methods. While precision farming is already booming in Opolskie voivodeship, the traditional approach to farming practice remains dominant in Podkarpackie voivodeship.
Knowledge and experience breed success
In comparison with other European countries, the quality of soil in Poland is relatively poor. This makes fertilization more complex for farmers and the fertilizer-chemical manufacturers as well. Specialist knowledge and experience are essential if one wishes to optimize the quantity of crops. For this reason, Our Works put equal stress on education of farmers. Apart from daily activity and communication, “PUŁAWY” has launched important educational projects, including a specialist post-graduate course at Warsaw School of Life Sciences (SGGW) and “Puławy” Competences Center.
Importance of EU subsidies
Common Agricultural Policy is one of crucial programs of the European Union, with a large share of the EU budget allocated to subsidies for farmers. The policy has indirect influence on the fertilizers sector, fueling its development and investments in improving the formula of particular products.
Is the future of chemistry green?
We must not overlook “green” chemistry in any discussion about the development of the chemical sector. Thanks to the establishment of SCF Natural company, Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “PUŁAWY” has also joined the development of this field. The project is conducted in partnership with Fertilizer Research Institute in Puławy and marks an important step towards connecting science and business, and going beyond solutions targeted at agricultural producers only.
