Cooperation of Grupa Azoty and Synthos

| About Us |

Zakłady Azotowe Chorzów, a part of Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY, and Synthos have signed two trade deals concerning oleochemistry and fertilizer chemistry. By making those agreements, we have initiated commercial cooperation that we intend to continue in the future.

Benefits for the chemical sector

The first contract specifies the terms of the deliveries of stearin acid, which is an important resource in the production of synthetic rubber. The acid produced in Nitrate Works in Chorzów will be delivered to facilities in Synthos capital group. „We have established detailed conditions of delivery to Kralupy in the Czech Republic and Dwory in Oświęcim” – said Chairman of the Board of Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY, Marian Rybak.

Thanks to this agreement, stearin acid from Chorzów, where the only installation manufacturing this product in Poland exists, will reach the largest producer of synthetic rubber in Europe.

Mutual business benefits

The other contract specifies the sales of magnesium sulphate heptahydrate of fertilizer quality. The product will travel from a Synthos installation which has recently been opened to the Nitrates Works in Chorzów.

Tomasz Kalwat, Chairman of the Board of Synthos, believes that „commercial cooperation of Synthos and Grupa Azoty PUŁAWY is going to bring many benefits for either side”. Commenting on the decision to sign the two agreements, Mr Kalwat stressed that „Grupa Azoty boasts excellent competences and long-term experience in the distribution of fertilizer products”. Synthos is wishing to leverage this potential, and at the same time provide us with a product which abides by the strictest quality norms, namely its magnesium sulphate heptahydrate.
