| Prospects & Investment |

The construction of the section of Expressway S12 that connects Kurów West intersection with the new bridge on the Vistula is due to be completed by the end of April 2018. The project documentation was submitted to Infrastructure Department of Lublin Voivodeship Office in February 2016.

The long-awaited Puławy bypass road

The above-mentioned fragment of Expressway S12 constitutes a part of the bypass road around Puławy, which the town inhabitants have really been looking forward to using. The investment is of crucial importance, as Puławy is on the main transportation route from Lublin to Radom. The road is also popular with freight carriers who transport goods to Germany and Ukraine. The planned section is about 12 kilometers long. The formal decision about the construction of the road was signed on December 30th, 2014. A consortium of Energopol Szczecin and Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych Zwoleń became the project subcontractor.

The consultation phase

The project is currently awaiting a Road Investment Permit (ZRID), a decision by the voivode constituting the official go-ahead for the construction. The last phase before the beginning of the works is connected with assessing the impact of the investment on the environment. The project was made available to local inhabitants, who may read the documentation and submit their proposals and comments. According to the schedule, ZRID is to be issued by the end of March. The value of the investment exceeds 233 million PLN.
